I've always sort of admired women who throw on a few coats of mascara and a couple of strokes of powder when they're just hanging out at home. They seem so chic. And I'm, like, the polar opposite. Typically, I don't even "throw on a pair of jeans" when I'm loafing around the house (sweatpants or bust!). It's not that I don't like enhancing my appearance with a little Dior Show and Bare Escentuals. It's that I'm super lazy. And I hate taking off makeup. (I'm not lazy about taking off makeup, though. Going to sleep with bronzer and eyeliner smeared all over my face? No, no, no. Not an option.) Anyway, the reason I bring up wearing makeup when you're "not really doing anything" is the reason people always bring up wearing makeup when they're "not really doing anything": Gwen Stefani.
