Nicole Kidman's Valentino dress is to perfect as Laetitia Casta's Dior dress is to disaster. The Victoria's Secret supermodel attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Zulu on Saturday and shocked everyone with the gold-feathered wing attachment she wore over her gown.
It was like Hunger Games meets Artemis meets Big Bird, but could this over-the-top aileron appendage be hiding something, um, private?
We were so busy staring at Laetitia's weird jacket that we glossed over her wardrobe malfunction. That Dior dress, which was worn down the runway during his Spring 2013 show, has a slit that goes to the top of the inner thigh and doesn't stop there.
If it hadn't been for Laetitia's feathered cape, it's possible more people would've noticed that her lady parts may or may not have been peeking through.
Perhaps she took a page out of Eva Longoria's book and decided to bare more than necessary on the red carpet, you know, "by accident."
And the District One-inspired costume didn't just draw attention away from her private parts, it also drove home the point that she's a former Victoria's Secret angel. The feathers! The wings! The sexy pose! Lest you forgot that Laetitia was one of the O.G.s at V.S. and was responsible for launching that marketing initiative back in the late '90s, she's kindly afforded you this not-so-subtle reminder.
Once inside the event, Laetitia removed the wings and let her natural beauty, and the dress's, shine through. Sweet relief.
Like the winged look?
