We need to have a quick chat, ladies. Gather 'round. It's important. It's about Jennifer Aniston's hair. Did you see Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards on Sunday? Of course you didn't -- the Kardashians, Real Housewives, and Princesses: Long Island were on. But if you've seen photos of Jen from the awards show on the Interwebs, you'll notice the little braid that's sitting on the side of her head. It looks adorable. So, naturally, we need to copy.
Before we get into it, I just want to say that although I love Jennifer Aniston and whatever hairstyle she brings to the table, let's be honest: Things have been a little boring in Casa de Jen's Tresses lately. It seems like she just does the same two styles over and over and over again: Down, or a slicked back lowish ponytail. Yeah, she looks great, but come on! This is the woman who gave us The Rachel!
Okay, now for the 'do.
Start by spraying a smoothing treatment into your hair and dry (tousle) it until it's about 85 percent dry -- or, better yet, washed the night before. Take a small section of hair at the side of your head and braid it. If you can French braid, more power to you -- do that. But if you can only do the basic kind, it's fine. You'll generally get the same look. Just make sure it's tight, though. If you want Jen's look, you don't want it drooping down. This is haute hippie we're going for here.
When you're done, spritz a little holding spray to keep in place and voila! You look gawgeous. But here's the best part about it -- when you take out your braid at the end of the night, you'll have this hairstyle that's weirdly full and sexy, and guess what? You can then pull back the other side of your hair with a clip or a comb to create a romantic, ethereal look. Two looks in one. Not bad. Thanks, Jen!
What do you think of this?
