Lea Michele at the 2012 Golden GlobesNow that the Golden Globes have come and gone, the gorgeous and horrendous fashion statements are all everyone's talking about. Glee's own Lea Michele showed up to the red carpet affair in this stunning silver skintight Marchesa gown, and days later, I still can't stop staring at it.

Is it different? Yes. In fact, I'd say this gem of a gown is a cross between an over-the-top figure skating costume and a mermaid's dream prom dress.

You know what, though? If anyone could pull off this little metallic silver number, it's her.

On Glee, Lea plays such a conservative, properly dressed high school senior. At the Globes? Rachel Berry not so much. Hello risk taker! It's always fun when we get to see an actress's real personality on the red carpet through her fashion choices. I mean, just look at the top of this gown! It's so beyond risque, and that doesn't seem to faze Lea. She totally rocked it. If there's ever the perfect time to make a ballsy fashion choice, it's on one of Hollywood's biggest red carpets, right?

She also did the look well by keeping things pretty tame with the her accessories. Lea opted for a simple clutch, Jimmy Choo heels, and Lorraine Schwartz earrings to keep the focus on the dramatics of the gown. And that hair! How come every time I want to do a messy yet perfectly executed updo a la Lea's, it never works? Oh right, that's probably because I don't have an amazing glam squad like the A-listers. Lea's hair looks flawless, and the makeup is on-point to match. In my mind, Lea's Golden Globes look was a flashy homerun!

What did you think of Lea Michele's red carpet look?
