Ugh. I know it's only a wig and she's wearing it for a movie and all -- but Jennifer Aniston's short, darker hairstyle makes her look about 10 years older and 10 pounds heavier than she actually is.
She's currently sporting the look while filming a flick in New York, and I guess since it's titled Squirrels to the Nuts, we really shouldn't expect her to be as drop dead gorgeous as usual. (Squirrels? Nuts? What the heck is this movie about, anyway?)
Ok, back to the hair. Yes, chin-length bobs are adorable and chic -- on some people. But on women in their 30s and 40s who happen to have a bit of a rounder shaped face? Bobs are a recipe for disaster. Instead of making us look more youthful and cute, they make us look old and fat. (And nobody wants that.)
Take a good look at Jen's shorter 'do again. Doesn't her face look kind of puffy, something that is really out of character for her? And if you had to estimate her age, what would you say? My guess is that you'd assume she's somewhere in her late 40s, which isn't far off from her real age of 44. But with her normal, long-haired look, she can easily pass for a 35-year-old.
Don't believe me?
Check out this photo of Jen with long hair.
She looks way skinnier and younger than the short-haired pic, right? I rest my case.
Once you reach a certain point in life, short hair doesn't do you any favors. At all. And that's why as an almost 36-year-old with a similar face shape as Jen's -- there's no way in hell I'm ever cutting my hair even though blow drying and styling my longer locks is a major pain in the rear end.
It may be a hassle, but it certainly beats looking like a bloated old hag.
Be honest, do you like Jennifer's short wig?
