Of all the gifts I received for Christmas, I think my favorite has got to be this Conair lighted makeup mirror.
It's a gift I picked out for myself (My husband and I like to pick out at least a few of our own gifts from each other!) and it seemed perfectly qualified to be a Christmas present: I had always wanted a lighted makeup mirror, but was never willing to spend the just-under-$50 on one. It seemed a little bit extravagant.
Now, though, I don't know how I lived without this mirror for so long.
I'll tell you why after the jump -- and then I want you to tell me in the comments what's turned out to be your favorite holiday present!
The lighting is decent in my bathroom, but the lighted rim around my new makeup mirror really puts a lot more light on my face -- It makes applying makeup so much easier, particularly when I'm putting on concealer.
Another problem I've had for a while is that I like to use powder eyeliner. It's fantastic, but sometimes specks of the powder end up on my face, visible only in bright light. With this makeup mirror, I'm able to see them and get rid of them before I go out in public.
Finally, my favorite part of the mirror is that I can flip it over for a highly-magnified mirror, perfect for plucking my eyebrows or, again, putting on under-eye concealer. I didn't realize how much I was missing out on by not owning a magnifying mirror!
Yes, dear readers. I love this mirror so much that I'm telling you about it now, because I think that anyone who wears makeup absolutely HAS to have one.
I found mine at Target, and there were plenty to choose from. Most of them are right around $50, with a few high and low-priced (smaller) versions. It seems expensive, but unless it breaks six months later, I think it was well worth the investment!Now tell me-- which holiday gift did you receive that you're still absolutely LOVING one month later?
