She was named one of the best dressed women alive by Vanity Fair this year, as well as the best dressed woman alive by People for a reason: Kerry Washington constantly kills it. And her dress at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday was no exception. She may have not walked away an Emmy winner this year, but when it came to red carpet style, Kerry stole the show. She was a vision of rose-colored, ethereal gauzy goodness in a sea of strapless same-old, same-old. Kerry wore Marchesa for the event, and literally everything about her look -- her hair; her makeup; her jewelry; her shoes -- was flawless.
While perusing photos of Kerry this morning, I actually came across a blog post naming her as one of the worst dressed of the night, and all I could think was: How? I know style is subjective (and I'm sure many of you will disagree with my opinion in the comments section!), but I can't find a single thing wrong with this look. And it's (thank goodness) different. Aren't we all over the solid jewel-toned, strapless, fitted gowns we see year after year? Kerry managed to make the bohemian look genuinely fancy -- and that's no easy feat.
Kerry, don't listen to the haters. You were the belle of the ball last night, hands down. And, Claire Danes, you and your short bob were a close second!
