Clik here to view.As soon as Miranda Lambert showed off her slimmed-down shape at the BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, November 5, tongues started clucking about how the country diva did it. Starvation diet? Worshipping at the altar of Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP and kale juicing? Working out like a crazy lady 24/7? Oh, I KNOW! Plasticsurgery, right?
Apparently, for some reason, the idea that Miranda lipo-ed it up became the assumption of choice in the last couple of weeks, so Miranda felt it was time to slam the rumors and set the record straight on her new, bangin' body ...
Taking to her website, the country star wrote:
Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me… I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight. I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. ... That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield.
Awesome! LOVE it, bravo, Miranda. That is the only way to do it. Although, sadly, I'm sure a lot of stars wouldn't necessarily agree. I can't blame the gossip mill for churning out lies about a star going under the knife to slim down, because that's exactly what so many of them do!
For instance, those recent rumors that Kim Kardashian spent a boat load of dough on fat-reducing ultrasound treatments, among other things? Yep, not all that hard to believe. And Christina Aguilera attributing her recent slimdown to yoga and veggies? Puhleeease.
Some of these stories are much easier to believe than others, and considering that celebs have the access to and funds for expensive Dr. 90210 treatments to drop pounds, it's not a shocker that many of them go that route. I only wish they'd be more honest about it, and they didn't take us for fools!
But as for Miranda, I definitely believe her. It doesn't seem like she dropped the pounds overnight. Instead, you can see she probably lost slowly but steadily over the last six months ... the honest, "old-fashioned" way.
Do you agree more celebs are resorting to plastic surgery to slim down than we probably realize? What do you think about Miranda's new look?
