If you've ever seen one of those women in her mid-40s who looks like she's in her mid-20s and been all, "What the hell does she do? Botox? Fillers? Face lift? Raw food? Yoga? Oxygen facials?" then you've probably been looking at supermodel Christy Turlington. At 45, Christy looks at least 10 years younger, not much different than she did in her supermodel heyday in the early 1990s. Christy, of course, is a dedicated yogi, but what else does the mom of two do to look like that? Let's be honest here, the face of Maybelline has had some Photoshopping done -- everyone does. But those who have seen her up close in real life swear she looks almost as Photoshopped in person.
Which is I guess why beauty supplement company Imedeen (owned by Pfizer) has signed her up to hawk its new "beauty pill." Says Christy about the little magic pill:
It's very important for me to maintain great looking skin -- not only as a model, but as a woman with lots of demands and many roles to fill each day. Now more than ever it's important that I nourish myself in every way possible to take care of my health and well-being. Caring for my skin on the inside is just as important as how I care for the outside. Now I can count on Imedeen to deliver deep down nourishment where it matters most.
Christy probably had some help writing that. Just a guess.
Well, there's no doubt she looks awesome, but since she JUST signed up to be the spokeswoman for the pill, we can't really attribute her good looks to it. YET. Maybe she'll look 15 in a couple of years.
Imodeen contains grapeseed, Lypocene (which Imodeen says is a "free radical scavenger" and gives tomatoes their color), antioxidants, and fish proteins.
Something tells me it doesn't really make you look like Christy, and you should probably keep your expectations in check. And hopefully it doesn't turn you the color of a tomato.
But with Christy as its spokeswoman, I'm thinking sales are gonna go through the roof.
Do you believe a pill can make you beautiful?
