Congratulations are in order for former The City star Olivia Palermo and her new husband model Johannes Huebl-- these two gorgeous people were recently married!
Olivia announced the news on her website recently and we've learned that she and her love decided to keep their ceremony very private and intimate, opting to marry in a countryside setting in upstate New York.
And when it came to her wedding gown, Olivia's approach was equally subdued. Don't expect to see her wearing your typical princess gown/cathedral veil. The fashion maven took a spectacular risk -- and she looked AMAZING.
It should be noted that Olivia announced not long ago that there was no way anyone was going to see her in a "cupcake dress" because no matter how beautiful they looked, they just aren't her style.
So here's what Olivia wore:
Designer Carolina Herrera created this unique look for Olivia and it consists of three separate pieces: a cream cashmere sweater adorned with ostrich feathers, white shorts, and a voluminous tulle skirt with cinched waist and a slit in the front.
I LOVE it. It's romantic, simple, and classic. Her long sleeves are so sweet and unexpected. I mean, she's wearing a sweater -- who does that at their wedding? The only flash of sexy you see here is the subtle peek-a-boo leg slit, and that proves to be just enough.
And you will notice she isn't wearing a necklace and has kept her hair and makeup incredibly natural. Doing so allows the pretty cream color to take center stage. She looks positively angelic and modern.
