When we think of Victoria's Secret model Chrissy Teigen, we think: oh, she's got a pretty face and seems nice enough. Poor thing, if only she weren't so darn fat.
Said NO ONE ever.
Only, wait -- that's not true. If you can believe it, an actual person -- or people, or entire company, or whatever -- once told John Legend's gorgeous wife that she was too fat to wear its clothing at a photo shoot. Yep, Teigen was kicked off the set and humiliated. And it's the best thing that ever happened to us -- and all women.
In an interview with DuJour magazine, the 28-year-old model revealed that she had been booked by Forever 21 and showed up on set ready to work. After they asked to take her photo, Teigen received a phone call from her agent instructing her to get the heck out of there pronto because her fatness was offending their sensitive eyes.
Okay, they didn't say that, but they might as well have. They did tell her that she was fat and needed to have her measurements taken, which proves every single person involved in the shoot that day was off his or her rocker. And prepare to love Teigen just a little more because, rather than go and starve herself, the way plenty of impressionable teen girls might have done, she adds, "I hate you, Forever 21. I hate you so much. Honestly, you're the worst."
Seriously, Teigen obviously didn't need that ad campaign to become the star she is today, but that doesn't stop us from asking: WTF, F21? Maybe the sample clothing was a size 0 and Teigen was a 2 or 4 and couldn't fit into it and, no biggie, that happens, I'm sure. But fat? Did anyone involved have eyes?
More from The Stir: Chrissy Teigen's Twitter Meltdown Was Totally Justified
I meant what I said about how being fired from Forever 21 was probably the best thing to happen to Teigen -- it makes her more relatable and gels well with her likeable personality ... she's totally going to host a TV show one day, mark my words. But it's also great for women everywhere because it reminds us that it's not us, it's them. The fashion industry is bonkers, plain and simple. If Teigen is deemed fat, then just forget about it -- might as well live your life and be happy with your size 6, 8, 10 clothing because you'll never be good enough in fashion's eyes.
And, like Teigen, we should all repeat: I hate you. You're the worst. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to enjoy my healthy, happy life.
