sara and emma koponenHuman Barbies better watch out, because there's a new act in town. Sara and Emma Koponen are 25-year-old identical twin sisters who have dropped more than $15,000 on matching plastic surgeries -- mostly regular lip filler injections and three boob jobs apiece -- so they can look like living dolls.

They also spend the majority of their time at the gym, because fitness does a body good, but also because it's what they feel they need to do to maintain their "artificial doll"-like appearance.

Check out a couple of their recent posts to Instagram.

The sisters, who are originally from Sweden and now live in Marbella, Spain, reportedly have gone so far as to eat the same food at the same time, with the goal of being at the same weight. Okay then.

Sara tells The Mirror:

As twins we have to look the same, people expect have expected that from us since we were children. We are both addicted with modifying our bodies -- but we have to make sure we both do the same things otherwise we won’t match. We are obsessed with surgery and the pursuit of perfection -- for us there’s no such thing as too much.

That said, they're planning on going under the knife even more in the near future -- going for butt implants, dental veneers, and rhinoplasty. Agh.

But they fully admit "not everyone likes the look we are going for." Their father and grandmother aren't fans, Emma says, and she also explained that "some girls have called us names like ‘whore’ to our faces, but I think they are just jealous of the attention we get."

Still, the twins say their surgeries have nothing to do with pleasing men. Sara explains:

The work we have done is for us -- it’s not about getting men to like us, it’s about becoming our idea of perfection.

Fair. And to each their own.

But yeesh, still seems like such a shame that their surgeries have made them look so much older than their 25 years. And that they fully admit they'll never feel "perfect" enough no matter how many operations they have.

What do you think about what these twins are doing?
