We knew Pippa Middleton was into the trend, but now let it be confirmed: Kate Middleton likes bright pants, too. An official royal statement is yet to be released, but I think if you'll look at the photo to your left, the proof is in the pudding.
In a surprise visit to the British Olympic women's field hockey team, Duchess Catherine donned a pair of coral (though they look sort of pinkish to me), J Brand skinny jeans with a white top, navy blazer, and heels. But after a few minutes, the future queen ditched the jacket and pumps in favor for a gray "Team GB" (Great Britain) sweatshirt and a pair of sneakers -- sorry, trainers. And, as usual, she looked fantastic. I mean, seriously, who looks like that wearing a sweatshirt and holding a hockey stick?
Kate does. Because she's gorgeous. (And because she has a baller hair and makeup team on hand and all times, but anyway!) No, let's get back to this whole bright pants trend thing. Never mind the bright colors in general, I'm talking strictly pants here: Are you into it or no?
Personally, I'm a huge fan. I definitely think it may be one of those things that we look back on years from now and wonder, "What the hell was I thinking?" They're pretty ... intense. But for now, I'm into it. It's a super cute alternative to plain, old jeans or black pants. Think about it: Black pants and a white t-shirt? Meh. Coral pants and a white t-shirt? Fun!
I get it, though, it's not for everybody. So, if you're not into it, you're not into it. However, you are missing out on some cheery goodness. But, yes, you will be able to say "I told you so" years from now when we're in our flying cars, looking at old photos of ourselves in hot pink pants.
