dakota fanningHere's something a little depressing to start your Friday morning -- kids born in 1994 are now 18. Kids born in the '90s are now adults. When did that happen. It's freaking me out, which is to say, I'm getting old. But not those '90s kids, they're just getting started on this wheel called life. Case in point: Dakota Fanning. The Twilight star broke onto the scene when she was just 7 years old -- we watched her in I Am Sam, Upton Girls, War of the Worlds, and Charlotte's Web. She was a precocious young star, talented beyond her years, and now, at 18, Dakota's an adult.

The blonde starlet, whose ad campaign for Marc Jacob's scent Lola caused some heated controversy, was spotted in a New York airport wearing a baby pink sweater, beige skirt-thingy, pastel floral leggings, and no makeup.

She looks a little tired, but happy nonetheless. Dakota's career has been steady now for 11 years with no signs of slowing down. Between the movies, TV appearances, high-profile fashion spreads, and the advertisements, Dakota is always on the go. The fabulous Fannings, as I imagined they're called, might never be hard pressed to find work. Their faces are like canvases and their hair -- please. People pay good money to get that nubile blonde color that they were just born with.

Dakota has two movies in post-production (Now Is Good and The Motel Life) and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part II comes out later this year in November, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Dakota in the coming months.

Even though it's borderline painful to acknowledge that children born in '94 are now able to vote, I won't mind seeing Dakota's fresh face grace more magazine covers and more red carpet events. She's got the look and the talent to stay relevant for a lifetime.

What do you think of Dakota Fanning's makeup-free look?
