Alright, here goes nothing. I have made an official goal for myself to actually follow this season of The Bachelorette all the way through. Maybe it's because I actually like Emily Maynard (why, I'm not so sure), or perhaps it's because who wouldn't enjoy a specific period of time every week to gawk at hunky men.
Either way, last night's premiere was full of a few gems ("Wolf," anyone?). Yeah yeah, there were loads of wackadoodle guys to capture our attention -- but one thing I couldn't stop gawking over: Emily's dress.
Did I like the Jean Fares design? Yeah ... I guess. But you've got to admit, this was a poor woman's attempt at a Beyonce nude showstopper. Am I right?
I think nude-colored gowns and clothes in general can look very elegant. In fact, when it comes to summer, they're perfect. Heck, with a nice bronze tan? Forgettaboutit.

With that said, though, Em's dress had a bit of awkwardness to it. The back of the gown, which was supposed to be sheer and non-existent looking, came off awkward with all the extra netting. The gemstones on the custom-designed gown, they're very pretty. But I think there's just something about the nude tone and overall execution that throws me off.
Nevertheless, I'm sure Emily could look amazing wearing a brown paper bag. The woman is absolutely gorgeous. I'm looking forward to seeing what other numbers they put her in this season. Rumor has it that it's gonna be all about the glitz and glamour.
