Target wedding gownDamn. Why did I have to get married almost 10 years ago? If only I'd waited, I could've saved a ton of cash by picking up a gown from Target's new wedding dress collection. Yes, I said Target, and yes, I said they now carry wedding gowns.

Is this the best thing you've ever heard?

The line is calledTevolio and features dresses ranging in price from $69.99 to $129.99. In addition to wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses are also available in a myriad of colors.

And the best part is, they're really, really cute.

Seriously, I can't think of one bride who won't be super-excited about this news.

When I tied the knot back in 2003, I was obsessed with finding a dress that resembled the simple yet incredibly classy dress worn by Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. It was so elegant, and I loved that it didn't have any beading or ruffles or anything busy going on.

But when I went into the bridal boutique in search of a Carolyn-esque gown, I was shocked to discover that the only one that came close to looking like hers also came with a price tag of $2,700. I tried it on (because of course I did), but needless to say, I wound up going another route entirely. And I loved my dress. I really did. But I had the body for the Carolyn gown and totally could've pulled it off had I been able to afford it. (I'll shut up now.)

Sigh. If only Target had introduced Tevolio back then, I could've gotten the look I wanted at a fraction of the price -- which would've been nothing short of awesome.

Oh well. At least today's brides can take advantage of these gowns. Maybe I'll get lucky and one of them will ask me to be a bridesmaid so I can at least wear something from the line.

What do you think of Target's new wedding collection?
