Jennifer Lopez created quite a stir with her choice of dress for the Oscars on Sunday night -- so much, in fact, that people are still talking about her sexy little number two days later.
And while the buzz surrounding her style has mainly been about whether or not she had a potential wardrobe malfunction and showed a little more skin than she initially intended, there are no arguments about whether or not her look was incredibly sexy. Because she totally rocked it.
Of course, there is also a bit of talk that suggests that J. Lo may have chosen her dress (and her super-plunging neckline) for a very good reason -- to get revenge on ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Apparently Marc didn't like his lovely wife dressing in sexier looking styles, and wanted her to be a bit toned down for the red carpet, when all eyes were upon her. And if that was truly the case, then it really isn't a huge surprise that she would go all out in the sexy department for this year's Oscars. If she wanted to stick it to him, then she certainly accomplished her mission. (Take that, Mr. Anthony!)

No matter what Jen's reasoning was in choosing her gown for the Academy Awards, it should serve as an important reminder to all of us that we should ultimately dress to flatter our own tastes and desires instead of trying to please our husbands, or anyone else for that matter. How on earth are we supposed to feel sure of ourselves if we can't even pick out our own duds?
When you aren't comfortable in your clothes and you are trying to go against your innate sense of style, it's pretty tough to hold your head high and feel confident. Did you see just how on fire Jennifer was at the Oscars? It was obvious that she knew she looked good, and that she was feeling her style entirely. If she had been more covered up, I just don't think she would've given off the same vibe. She owned her sexy completely on that red carpet -- and we should all be inspired to do the same in any situation. In a nutshell, you are the only person who matters when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. Sometimes it's ok to be a little bit selfish -- especially when it comes to your fashion choices.
